Who builds Moodis
I’m Panu, a solo developer in Vantaa, Finland. My partner Anu is an artist, and her complaint about Milanote was the low limits on the free plan and a steep price jump for what she got. I built the first version in a day, mostly to see if I could. Anu was testing it the next morning. Moodis came out of her need and my wanting to know whether I could build a product.

A few things worth knowing before you download.
Does Moodis work offline?
Yes. The desktop app keeps your boards as files on your own disk and needs no account, so it opens, edits and saves with no connection at all. Cloud backup, sharing and the web app are the parts that need one.
What happens to my files if I cancel Pro?
Your local boards are files on your own machine and stay exactly where they are, on any plan or none. Cloud-stored boards go read-only when the paid period ends: you can still open them and export them, but syncing stops. They are scheduled for deletion 90 days after that, so export anything you want to keep well before then, and resubscribing restores full access. Cancellation and data in our Terms
When is macOS coming?

Is anything uploaded or tracked?
Not by the desktop app. It collects no analytics and sends nothing anywhere; your files stay on your machine unless you turn on cloud backup. This website is a separate thing: it counts page views with Plausible, which is cookieless, stores no IP addresses and builds no profile of you. Can I use Moodis for client work?
Yes. Solo covers one person's commercial work for €35 once, and Pro or Team add sharing, collaborative editing and team boards. The free desktop app is for personal, non-commercial work. How is Moodis different from Milanote or PureRef?
Both are good at what they do. Milanote is a polished cloud workspace, and keeping your boards on its servers is what makes browser access and team collaboration easy there. PureRef is fast and light, and its always-on-top window floating over your canvas is a trick Moodis does not do at all. Moodis is for the references that pile up across projects and turn into a library: an infinite canvas, boards and images kept as files on your own disk, a desktop app that is free for personal use, and fairer pricing than a cloud subscription when you do want the cloud.
